cyclist prosecution
The comments of Suffolk District judge David Cooper in the case of a cyclist who caused slight damage to a car which allegedly put him in danger by driving too close seem somewhat patronising.

When the judge said, "I thought cyclists were supposed to be gentle, peacekeeping people" did he mean "I thought cyclists were supposed to be meek people who let cars drive endanger their lives without challenging such behaviour"?

The prosecutor told the court he shouted at the driver "you nearly ran me over. You could have killed me". Chances are it was a very good point he was making, and one which the driver should ponder.
